Quick and Easy Calzones
Hey guys! I hope you are all doing well and staying safe inside! With all the changes in the world right now, things are definitely a little crazy but we are trying to make the best of it and our time spent together as a family! I don’t know if you guys are like us, but now that we are eating every single meal at home together, we are constantly looking for fun and new ideas for mealtime! Our family has loved these quick and easy calzones for the last few months!
A few weeks ago, I mentioned these quick and easy calzones over on Facebook and everyone wanted the recipe! I thought I should also share it here for easy saving and to give you just one more fun and easy dinner option for your family!
I love this meal because it’s super simple and everyone can make one of their own and the kids love being able to create it!
They are little chefs!
We had so much fun making them I had to snap pictures! They are so good and so yummy! And so not healthy…but that is not what this post is about! Lol! Emma was a great teacher!
How to Make Calzones
- Rhodes Frozen Rolls
- Pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce
- Toppings: ground beef, sausage, pepperoni
- Mozzarella cheese
The Night Before:
Defrost rolls 24 hrs before you plan to make them in a covered container in your refrigerator. (I have had some people make this since my post and said it worked even with just letting the rolls rise for 3 hrs ahead of time!)
- Take two rolls and knead them together just enough to combine.
- Stretch out and form the dough.
- Spread sauce on one side.
- Add the toppings of your choice.
- Close up in a taco shape and pinch the edges together to close.
- Bake on a cookie sheet at 375 for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
Grab your favorite fillings and start creating! You could make so many different versions! I would love to see what you guys come up with!
I hope you enjoy your time with your family and making these fun, quick and easy calzones!
