A View from the Top – Trusting God in the Adventure!
I am so excited to share about our spring break trip with you guys! None of us had ever been out to Arizona or spent any time in the desert. We were looking for a quick getaway with the kids to get in some warm weather and enjoy the sunshine, and ended up falling in love with it out there!
We had UTV rides through the desert, a sunrise hot air balloon ride along with some much-needed chilling by the pool!
The vacation was amazing but I really wanted to share with you what God put in my heart especially while we were out driving in the desert.
As I was up in the mountains in the desert, I couldn’t help but think of how big, grand and majestic our God is!
I’m in constant awe of the beautiful world that he created! It’s like a living and breathing piece of art that he has given us to adventure through.
He is the original creator and created us in his image! Therefore, we were also made to create!
Yes, even you! You are creative.
You may not have discovered it yet but it is there! It is my goal to help each and every one of you uncover that creative side.
Right now you might be asking yourself:
“How do I get started?”
I’ve got all kinds of blogs that will help you with that HERE…
But before we get to the technical stuff we have to get to the heart and head stuff. You have to push past your fear and you have to trust God.
This is what I thought about the entire time we were driving through the mountains. I stood at the top of that mountain peak and thought about all it took for us to get to that point…
There were challenges and scary spots along the way. I was driving a UTV over rocks, hills, and water. There were some STEEP parts of that trail.
There were some crazy twists and turns on the sides of cliffs that made you just a little nervous.
Each time I got worried or nervous, I prayed for peace and of course safety! There were quite a few prayers sent up along the trail! LOL!
Well, needless to say, we made it. There were so many beautiful stops along the way to take pictures but it was nothing compared to the top of the mountain.
Each stop we made I thought was more beautiful than the last. We could’ve stopped there and turned around.
We were in awe of what was in front of us. It was gorgeous, but God had more for us at the top.
That’s when I started thinking about each one of us in our journey. Our journey through life and our journey through finding our creative self.
Think about that with your life.
We are all on this ride with Jesus holding our hand and guiding all along the way.
Life is an adventure!
There are going to be rough spots. There are going to be scary times. But, even so, He’s still got you!
Those big dreams that you have, he wants you to have those! You have to move forward in fear trusting him and relying on his strength and not your own. If we can push past our fear, we allow God to bless us.
We have to get out of our own way first!
His ways are bigger than our ways! His plan is so much grander than we can ever imagine. He is going to show you that creative side that he built into each one of you.
Just push forward.
Take action and keep moving towards your goal. You’re going to get to points that you are so excited about but if you continue to trust God you will get to the mountain top and see the view that he has planned for you!
You just have to take the first step and trusting him and grabbing his hand and going along for the adventure!
In the past three years, he has been constantly working on me and it’s been a constant tug-of-war with my fear and trusting him. But when I let go and let him take control, things fall into place.
The life I’m living right now was never in my plans. I couldn’t have even dreamed it. I feel so blessed for everything that he has given us and the platform that I am able to teach so many of you across the world how to paint! It brings me so much joy!
I would have never gotten here if I wouldn’t have trusted him and let him lead me through. He has given me confidence that I’ve never had before he’s given me a voice to be bold and outspoken on his behalf.
I am so incredibly thankful for that. I hope and pray that all that I do in sharing with you guys and creating art with all of you glorifies him and we continue to shine his light everywhere in this world!
